The Andersons, Inc.
Indiana State Senator Tom Weatherwax will be among the featured speakers during the event, as well as representatives from the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, Senator Richard Lugar's office, the Renewable Fuels Association and The Andersons company officials. Company officials will be available for media interviews following the dedication. All activities will be held outdoors.
Operational since late April, this facility is capable of producing 110 million gallons of ethanol annually. The plant also will produce 350,000 tons of distillers dried grain, an animal feed ingredient.
"We are very pleased to be dedicating our second ethanol plant in Cass County," says Neill McKinstray, Vice President & General Manager, Ethanol Division for The Andersons. "We also are pleased to bring more than 30 additional full and part-time jobs to the area as well as provide an additional market for area corn growers, many of whom have an established relationship with The Andersons, and a local supply of distillers dried grains for area animal farmers.
"I would be remiss if I also did not express our gratitude to Cass County, the City of Logansport and the Logansport Economic Development Foundation for their continued commitment to this project," says McKinstray. "Their support, along with the assistance of the state and various economic development units, were vital to the success of this project."
The Andersons, Inc. is a significant equity investor in The Andersons Clymers Ethanol LLC which operates the facility. The Andersons also is providing grain origination, risk management and DDG and ethanol marketing for the facility.
The Andersons also has a significant equity stake in The Andersons Albion Ethanol LLC in Albion, Mich., a 55 million gallon facility that began operations in August 2006.
